天然 砥石 菖蒲谷　合砥　色物　ナマズ　厚物　 普通よりやや柔らかめ、泥でやすい、ぬるぬる研ぎやすい。 菖蒲谷は京都天然砥石の中でも歴史が古い。 高山、五千両の並びの山。 900年近い歴史を有し、大突、奥殿、中山といった横綱級の砥石が産出されていた梅ヶ畑を代表する鉱山の一つ。品質も中山、奥殿、大突と肩を並べる砥石がとれた山です。 研ぎ面以外は養生してあります。 よろしくお願い致します。 Natural whetstone Shobutani Gatame, colored catfish, thick　 Slightly softer than normal, easy to polish with mud and slimy. Shobutani is one of the oldest natural whetstones in Kyoto. It is a mountain in the line of Takayama and Gosenryo. It has a history of nearly 900 years and is one of the representative mines in Umegahata, where yokozuna-class whetstones such as Daitori, Okudono, and Nakayama were produced.
